The Sound Between The Sea and The Stars
Vela Woodwinds was born from the drift between gravity and stillness, the low breath of clarinet, refracted through starlight, silence, and suspended motion.

Where traditional woodwind libraries emphasize agility, articulation, and orchestral form, we turned toward something slower, deeper: a meditation on tone as atmosphere. Inspired by the Vela constellation, Latin for “sail”, we imagined an instrument that doesn’t perform, but floats.

Using organic recordings of Bass and Contra Clarinet as our foundation, we sculpted evolving textures not through virtuosity, but through transformation. Powered by our Infinite Motion Engine™ and Non-Static Sampling™, Vela breathes without looping, revealing new dimensions with each sustained note.

What emerges is neither classical nor ambient, but something weightless in between. A library that reimagines woodwinds as vessels of sonic motion, drifting through oceanic depths and interstellar space.
