In 2003, when low-tuned heavy guitars, drop tunings and even baritone guitars were announced, Marshall responded with the Mode Four series.

By deliberate oversizing of amps and cabs they helped not only modern rock and metal sounds to brutal bass thunderstorms, but also make possible undistorted clean-sounds at very high volumes.

But the real highlight of the Mode Four series were certainly the 4×12″ cabinets, that offer the distinctive Marshall-sound, punchy, bigger and louder.
