Besides the single-location architecture with millions of tiny images, Arturia plugins have another paranoid flaw: license checking for protected presets. The legitimacy of each of the more than 10,000 protected presets is checked, significantly increasing plugin initialization time. Therefore, to speed up loading, all protected presets have been cleared and unlocked. Now these cleared presets can be used even with imperfect third-party releases (such as R2R) that don’t support protected presets.

Known issues

• Arturia sound designers use French diacritics in sample names, which may cause errors on file systems that do not support Unicode.
• Third-party sound designers use very long sample names, which may cause errors on operating systems that do not support long names (more than 250 characters, including the file path).
