Martello & MartelloX2. Martello brings 808-style low-end punch and character to your DAW. MartelloX2 extends the engine for dual-voice layering and stacking. Both plugins share the same core DSP, refined for tight, musical transient shaping and analog-flavored saturation.

Martello is a compact drum synthesizer built for producers who want immediate, physical electronic percussion without sample browsing. Every sound is synthesized in real time, with tight MIDI response, direct controls, and a character that moves between classic analog drum-machine weight, sharp digital percussion, metallic modular strikes, tuned instruments, and experimental FM textures.

Its synthesis library covers classic kicks, snares and hi-hats alongside Digital, Analog, Digital+, Toms, Clap, Wood, Ride, Cymbal, Cowbell and Expert models. Version 1.2.2 expands the instrument with Low, Mid and High Bongo, Glass Clave, Tambourine, Maracas, Open Percussion Extension, Charlie and Metallic models, giving each voice a much wider range of acoustic-inspired, synthetic and unconventional percussion.

The new Robot and Robot Expert engines push Martello beyond conventional drum synthesis. Built around a powerful FM architecture , it can generate tuned percussion, mechanical pulses, metallic sequences, distorted tonal hits, robotic rhythms and evolving synthetic patterns. Combined with the Knob Wizard modulation sequencer, Martello becomes a compact techno production lab: a single instrument for designing drums, generating movement, creating sequences and building complete rhythmic ideas.

The Knob Wizard provides stepped or free-running modulation sequences of up to 64 steps and can be assigned to internal synthesis parameters. Use it to animate pitch, decay, tone, FM relationships and other controls, producing controlled variation, repeating modulation patterns or unpredictable machine-like motion.

Martello is the focused three-voice instrument: fast, immediate and designed for direct rhythm creation.

MartelloX2 expands the same concept into a dual-module instrument with six playable voices, a larger performance-oriented interface and multi-output routing. It also includes dedicated Classic Hat synthesis for closed and open hi-hats, with Legacy and Precise engine variants and proper choke behaviour.
